Pumpkins offer the following benefits to our skin:

  • Help promote cell “turnover” or regrowth
  • Smoothens skin
  • Brightens skin
  • Adds a dose of acne fighting zinc
  • High in fatty acids and vitamin E

Whether they’re a puree or an oil, pumpkin-based products can help most skin types! How awesome is that?! Read on to see a few ideas for incorporating pumpkin into your fall skin care routine.

Throw Pumpkin Flesh Right On Your Face

You can just toss some pumpkin puree right onto your skin and leave it be for several minutes. Wash with warm, clean water.

Have a little more time? Check out this flexible recipe ingredient list. As with most masks, simply toss ingredients together and store in the fridge.

Here are the suggested skin-boosting ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of puréed
  • 1 tablespoon of soy yogurt or ¼ teaspoon of soy milk

Optional additional ingredients:

  • ½ teaspoon of brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cranberry juice or
  • ½ teaspoon oatmeal

Sounds delicious – and you could actually taste this if you couldn’t stand just smelling it on your face!
