Thinking about pampering your hands ? Here are some favorite DIY hand masks recipes to help with all your concerns!

East to make hand masks for you:

Lighten & Soften Dark Spots

“If only I used sunscreen more often when I was younger”… we’ve all had those thoughts at least once, but you don’t need to worry – this hand mask will help to brighten those spots and leave your hands softer than baby’s skin.

so first, wear spf also on your hands!

What you’ll need:

2 teaspoons lemon juice (citric acid helps to brighten dark spots)
2 teaspoons honey (antioxidants to help slow down aging)
2 teaspoons baking soda (exfoliates to reveal fresh, soft skin)

Just combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and apply to your hands – we’d recommend spending a few minutes rubbing it in before letting it sit for 10 minutes & rinse in warm water (hold off on the soap this time).

Eliminate Redness And Skin Irritation

Sensitive skin, if you have it you know how hard it can be to use everyday products like dish soap, or cleaning products without your hands being left red and angry. Here is a smooth mask for you:   (is your soap bar dangerous for you?)

What you’ll need:

1 small potato
1 teaspoon olive oil or almond oil

Boil that potato, let it cool and mash it. Mix in the oil well and apply to your hands for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Yours hands will be thanking you for that one!

Smoothing & Softening Skin Treatment

Avocados are not only super delicious, but they’re packed with antioxidants & healthy fats which makes them hugely beneficial for smoothing and softening the skin!

What you’ll need:

1 ripe avocado
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons plain yogurt
10 drops sandalwood
8 drops myrrh

Blend all ingredients together in a food processor or blender. Apply to hands and wrap in plastic bags and a towel to allow the mask to penetrate the skin more effectively. Sit back and relax for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Don’t forget your nails and cuticles!

Now that your hands are looking (and feeling) fabulous, don’t ruin their appearance with nails and cuticles that look dry and messy.

What you’ll need:

3 tablespoons castor oil
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Combine both the castor oil and the extra virgin olive oil in a small heat resistant bowl (preferably metal) and place over a slightly larger bowl that’s filled with hot water to warm the oils. Add in the lemon juice and dip your hands in one at a time or both at the same time if your bowl is large enough. Let your nails and cuticles soak it all up for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water and soap.

And as a daily use, carry with you a pot of Pure Natural Hand Cream to keep your hands smooth and soft!
