How face mapping can give you more insights about your skin concerns?

The first thing i do at Pure Natural Salon, after we talk and i hear your needs and concerns, is taking a look on your skin as a treasure map:)

It gives me an added point of view to the causes and root issues that effect your skin appearance. Face mapping is a very useful tool!

Everything is Connected

What TCM understands that Western Medicine fails to is that our bodies work in the same way. What affects one organ affects the other, what affects one system ultimately affects the whole of the body.

Face mapping is a theory that your face can provide insight regarding issues on the inside of your body.

In practice, this is done by tracking where blemishes and break outs occur, and assigning them to internal bodily functions. By learning what each specific area may relate to, you can then try to treat the internal issue. The result should help to clear up your skin and improve your overall health and well-being.

In Ayurveda and chines medicine, where we break out, rash, wrinkle, and get dry is a direct line to establishing cause, and hopefully cure. Addressing imbalances in the body through diet is often the first step. Below is a region-by-region analysis.

*Chin/Jaw/Neck

*Thank hormones and the good ol’ menstrual cycle for breakouts in an area In addition to hormones, blemishes on the jaw line and chin can also be caused by Candida and yeast overgrowth, So an anti-Candida diet is essential to heal the gut and clear up these breakouts.

In addition to natural cleaning treatments , it suggested cutting out heavy, creamy, starchy, damp, and fermented sweet foods like processed sugar, dried fruit, yeast, wine, dairy, white flour, gluten, soy, shellfish, fried foods, grapes, bananas, and peanut butter to help. Sure, it’s basically all the fun stuff, but desperate times call for cutting out French toast.

*Cheeks

*Chances are your hands are the culprit of acne in this area. Try to avoid touching your face. Or, clean your cell phone with anti-bacterial wipes and change pillowcases and washcloths frequently. Otherwise, an accumulation of dirt and oil on the skin can clog pores. The cheeks also relate to the lungs and respiratory system so smoking may be another factor.

*T-Zone

*The nose, forehead, and chin have the highest concentration of oil glands on the face. And it’s no secret that puberty or intense times of stress can cause breakouts. The forehead also relates to the nervous system, digestive system, and Vata Dosha (the forces that govern the movement of the body, according to Ayurveda). So stress and internal dryness, stagnation of circulation or bowel congestion can be factors.

We recommend drinking more water and eating less processed foods, as well as reducing the amount of fat in your diet from cheese, milk, and hydrogenated oils.  Also taking digestive enzymes and probiotics or trying yoga, meditation, and breathwork to balance the nervous system. Blemishes on the nose can indicate circulatory or blood pressure issues. In that case, decrease your intake of spicy, pungent foods, meats, alcohol, and coffee. Increase your intake of good essential fatty acids, omega 3 and 6, flax seed, avocado, and olive oil to help. Alternatively, if you’re gearing up for midterms or a hectic time at work, We recommends preemptively revving up your normal acne treatment—Natural deep cleaning treatments, natural acne treatments products.

*Between the Eyebrows

Liver: The liver rules detoxification, digestion and the emotions. If the body is overburdened with toxins, hard to digest processed foods and negative emotions, it shows up in this area. Also, each organ system has a corresponding emotion, for the liver it is anger. Perhaps this is why chronically angry and frustrated people are more likely to have a deep groove in their forehead between the eyes. Also, the liver is connected most strongly to the skin – vernally speaking, any skin issues indicate a liver imbalance so caring for your skin also helps the liver. Therefore, when decreasing your toxic intake, be sure to swap any toxic skincare products for organic, natural ones. To remedy this, care for your liver with foods and herbs like turmeric, leafy greens, bitters and healthy amounts of clean protein. Also, learn to relax, let go of chronic angry thoughts. Decrease your overall toxic load, meditate, take walks in nature, and do not take life too seriously.

*Nose

Heart: Issues with the nose indicate problems with the heart. The left side of the nose corresponds to the left side of your heart, and vice versa. The whole area tells us a lot about the condition of the heart. Blackheads mean heart congestion, redness indicates blood sugar/blood pressure issues from excess alcohol, sugar and processed foods. Anger, grief, and stubbornness all damage the heart. You can help the heart by opening your heart emotionally, forgiving, and being willing to understand others. Also, improve cholesterol levels by lowering sugar and refined carb intake and eat healthier cholesterol. You can lower inflammation with omega-3 fatty acid foods like anchovy, sardines and cod liver oil. Great herbs for the heart include Reishi, Pearl and White Peony.

Benefits of Facial Mapping

1. Identifies Skin Conditions

Face mapping can help identify skin conditions like acne, wrinkles, pigmentation, and other skin issues. This helps you pinpoint the exact area of your face affected by the condition so you can address it more accurately.

2. Reveals the Causes Behind Skin Issues

By looking at the breakouts and other signs on different parts of your face, face mapping can reveal issues related to diet, lifestyle, and environment that may be causing your skin problems.

3. A Guide to Your Skincare Routine

Face mapping can help you with your skincare routine by giving you an overview of which part of your face needs the most attention. You can then target those areas with the appropriate products and treatments. (Read more about skin types and the different care they need)
