How to keep your natural flow and glow in winter ?

Ivé collected few daily winter wellbeing tips to support you here:

MORNING TIME:

Early wake up

Rising early means that you’ll get the most amount of daylight into your day and this helps the body to synthesis the happiness hormone Serotonin.  The quiet and still morning hours might just reward you with a mood-boosting . Start a bit slow (not like jumping up with the alarm clock…) and then any body movement to move the energy. and do not forget stretching!

meditation, journalism, reading, anything to feed your mind and inspire you.

The early hours found to be less dense and more inspiring!

Drink boosting

Make your first drink of the day a zesty one to shake off feelings of sleepiness. Adding slices of organic lemon to your water wakes up your body without the need for diuretic caffeine and provides a natural boost to your winter wellbeing.

Clear and set up your work area

A clear workspace that’s tailored to your needs will help to get your working day off to a good start. adding a few personalised touches to your workspace, such as a diffuser for essential oils, can make it a happy and productive place to be during the darker winter months.

AFTERNOON BOOST

Pause

Take a break and clear the mind by going for a walk outside, move, meditate and fill up your water intake ( hydration tips).

A great mood boosting oils for your diffuser- citrus! think about the fresh zest of orange, lemon and mandarin!

Feed your body

Food nourishes the body and the mind. Replenish your body with a healthy lunch full of Omegas and nutrients to help to starve of sluggish afternoon feelings. ( healthy recipes? right here).

Celebrate yourself

Reward your achievements, regardless of how big or small they might seem. Self-care needn’t be costly and a rewarding treat could be as simply as gratitude to what you have achieved and have, and just looking and your done stuff today!

EVENING BOOST

It is especially important to lift your mood once the light starts to fade. Dark winter evenings can feel long but these winter wellbeing tips can help you to gain more control over your emotions.

Mindful moment

Taking some time out to do something that makes you feel relaxed and takes your mind off negative feelings like reading, running a bath with essential oils (here are your ideas), book your relaxing treatment for the week, meditate, breath…

Lower the lights

Daylight is great for boosting your mood but in the evening you can use light to help you to unwind and relax so that you can rest better and wake feeling energised and positive. I personally love candles:)

Go tech free

Scrolling through social media images has a negative impact on your sense of wellbeing, it’s time to step away from the screen. Put your phone or tablet away in a drawer and make the hours before bed a tech-free zone.

Reflect and get inspired

A good notebook can be a great tool for winter wellbeing. You can write down your emotions, reflect on your achievements or get inspired for tomorrow.

Your beauty sleep

Sleep is so important for wellbeing and a good night’s sleep will be reflected in your mood, skin and energy level.

Book your relaxing, letting go time

Receiving a massage or a facial is crucial for your nervous systems and overall being (and beauty!)
