Natural Ways To a Youthful, Glowing Skin

Natural Ways To a Youthful, Glowing Skin

We all look to the ways to maintain glowing skin…What are the natural ways to a youthful glowing skin?

While you should be staying out of the sun and munching on blueberries, there are many more things you can do to ensure that your skin stays clear, smooth, and youthful when you hit an age where wrinkles and age spots are supposed to be part of your life. Check out these ways to a youthful glowing skin:

1) Use a safe, mineral-based sunscreen daily.

A clean, mineral-based SPF should be applied daily, all year round. yes, every day!

UV rays are the primary cause of the texture and color changes of skin aging, I recommends using a mineral-based sunscreen (look for active ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) that is SPF 30 or higher and applying it as the final step in your skin care routine every morning. Because mineral sunscreen is a physical barrier, it should be applied as the last step before makeup: Any skin care actives you try to apply after won’t penetrate.

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Because water evaporates from the skin, you need to constantly replenish your body with water. If you don’t, your skin will end up dry and saggy. Water keeps your skin plump, elastic, and smooth. So skip the Coke and load up on H2O. Your future self will thank you.

How to top up your hydration game?

3. Exfoliate.

I am not recommending a harsh scrub or cloth, but a  light exfoliation 2-3 times a week, with gentle, natural ingredients, that dissolves dead skin cells on the surface. Removing the outer layer of dead skin cells will help smooth skin texture, increase the absorption rate of your skin care products, and brighten up your complexion.

4. Incorporate healthy fats into your diet.

Healthy fats like those found in nuts, flaxseed, and avocados can help to replenish your body’s ability to make healthy and strong cell membranes, which can protect against environmental damage by restoring the skin barrier, not eating adequate healthy fats can cause the skin and hair to be dry, and increasing these fats in the diet may help in certain skin conditions characterized by excessive dryness. Other healthy-fat foods to know for glowing skin include salmon, chia seeds, olive oil, and whole eggs.  and more, which you can read here:

5. Apply skin care products right after bathing.

In addition to a quality, natural, skin care routine, the timing in which you apply your products can affect moisture retention. Take to your skin care routine immediately after hopping out of the shower. Applying a moisturizer daily on face and body after washing replenishes and seals in moisture, and it is much better to maintain good, glowing skin than to try to catch up after skin is dry, inflamed, and uncomfortable.

6. Get that Green Tea going

Everyone and their mother knows that green tea is full of antioxidants, but what not everyone knows is that drinking a cup of green tea twice a day for six months can actually reverse the sun damage on your skin.

Green tea has high concentrations of Catechin, an antioxidant that’s well-known for its anti-aging effect. It protects your skin against UV radiation, thus helping to prevent the growth of moles and age spots. Catechin also has some anti-inflammatory powers that help delay the onset of wrinkles and support glowing skin .

7. Practice a facial massage routine.

Not only does it feel enjoyable, but facial massage can lessen tension and increase circulation, thereby helping to keep skin cells healthy and aiding in lymphatic drainage. Commit to a daily facial by using a jade roller. It only takes a few minutes a day, and the post-facial massage glow (courtesy of aforementioned increased circulation) will be so worth it. And get your professional facial on routine for best routine!

8. Use Turmeric all over your face

The anti-inflammatory properties in turmeric soften the skin, clear acne, reduce swelling, and diminish wrinkles.

So, how exactly can you slather turmeric all over your face? By making a turmeric face mask, of course! Here’s how you can do this:

Mix together:

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

2 teaspoons rice flour (for oily skin) OR finely ground oats (for dry or mature skin)

3 tablespoons plain yogurt (or milk, cream, or sour cream)

Slather the mixture on your clean face, and then let it dry. After 15-20 minutes, rinse it off. Try doing this once a week.

9. Stay active.

Exercise increases blood flow throughout the body, thereby bringing vital oxygen, nutrients, and minerals to the skin. Bottom line: Working out leads to brighter, better-looking skin.

10. Use vitamin C.

One of the best topical ingredients for glowing skin, plain and simple, is vitamin C—which works on all skin types to even out and brighten tone. The research to back up these claims is sound and vast: Vitamin C can fade hyperpigmentation, protect against environmental aggressors, brighten skin tone, and promote collagen and elastin production.

11. Don’t pick your skin.

As a general rule of thumb, once your products are applied, keep your hands off of your face. touching  the skin—pimples, injuries, or just itchy areas—causes worsening of the problem and ultimately can lead to infection and scars.

12. Get regular facials.

Getting regular facials is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy, glowing visage. Ideally, aim for one facial per month, which falls in time with your skin cells natural renewal cycle

13. Indulge in a face mask.

Face masks shouldn’t even be considered an indulgence—you should apply these regularly.

You cab find lots of DIY mask recipes here

14. Get your beauty sleep.

Yet another important reason to prioritize sleep: Inadequate or disturbed sleep can wreak havoc on your skin. Research has shown that poor sleep quality can contribute to increased signs of skin aging (fine lines and wrinkles) and compromised skin barrier function

15. Keep your makeup—and makeup tools—clean.

Makeup brushes, bags, and sponges are basically breeding grounds for the proliferation of bacteria, dead skin cells, oil, and grime—all of which can seriously hinder your quest for glowing skin. So, keep things sanitary! Clean your makeup tools regularly, ideally every week.

16. Keep showers not too warm.

One of the most common face-washing mistakes: using the wrong water temperature. Rinsing your complexion (and hair) with water that’s too hot can strip your skin barrier of its natural oils, which can dry out the skin and lead to a compromised barrier. Too-cold water won’t get the job done and might leave dirt and makeup on your skin. So when it comes to cleansing, stick to water temperatures that are lukewarm.

17. Minimize stress.

Easier said than done, we know, but feelings of chronic stress can seriously damage your skin—and even trigger a host of issues, including eczema and psoriasis.

18. Moisturize.

Need we say more? Keeping skin moisturized is one of the quickest tickets to a glowing complexion. Don’t skimp on daily moisturizer, even if you have naturally oily skin, and invest in ingredients that are natural and safe. The ideal will be using a serum and then a moisturizer.

For the morning serum that is lighter and hydrate like the Lifting Serum

And for the night, a richer one , like the Night Serum

19. Switch to natural care products

We all, to some degree or another, understand that toxins are bad for us. We avoid ingesting toxins, so why are we so complacent when it comes to putting them on our skin? How to do it without getting overwhelmed? Here is my suggestion

About the Author:

Pure natural cosmetics is not just a name, for me and many others it became a way of life! All my life I had an affinity to healthy life style. As a dancer and a trainer, i was always looking for the good combination of healthy food and healthy movement. In time I learned that its not only what you eat that matters. Also what you use as cosmetics or medical products is important. The skin is the biggest organ in our body. About 60% of what we put on our skin gets into the blood system and with that to the inner organs. I invest my heart and soul into “Pure natural cosmetics” and the best part is to hear the amazing comments from my client.
