Healthy Caramel s truffles

(Courtesy of Liz Moody, Not Crazy Healthy)
10 Medjool dates, pitted
1 tbsp. unsalted almond butter
2 tsp. ghee (can sub coconut oil if vegan, but the ghee is truly the secret to the rich, caramel-y taste)
Dash of vanilla
A few pinches flaky sea salt
6 oz. dark chocolate

Blend dates, almond butter, ghee, and vanilla in a food processor until well combined, then stick in the freezer for 20 min. While they cool, melt the chocolate over a double boiler until smooth and creamy. Remove date mixture from freezer and roll into truffle-size balls. Using a toothpick, skewer each ball and dip into chocolate, before setting on parchment paper. Sprinkle with sea salt before chocolate hardens completely, and enjoy. These keep well at room temperature for up to a week (perfect for gifting to that special someone!).

About the Author:

Pure natural cosmetics is not just a name, for me and many others it became a way of life!

All my life I had an affinity to healthy life style. As a dancer and a trainer, i was always looking for the good combination of healthy food and healthy movement.

In time I learned that its not only what you eat that matters. Also what you use as cosmetics or medical products is important.

The skin is the biggest organ in our body. About 60% of what we put on our skin gets into the blood system and with that to the inner organs.

I invest my heart and soul into “Pure natural cosmetics” and the best part is to hear the amazing comments from my client.
